Overview:

The Fellowship of Isis (FOI) was founded at Clonegal Castle, Enniscorthy, Ireland, at the Vernal Equinox of 1976. The founders were the Honorable Lady Olivia Robertson, and the late Lawrence and Pamela Durdin-Robertson. The Manifesto of the Fellowship sets out the essential aims. The Fellowship is multi-religious, multi-racial, and multi-cultural. It is organized on a democratic basis and all members have equal privileges within it, whether as a single member or part of an Iseum or Lyceum. Membership is free.

The Fellowship of Isis is dedicated to honoring the religion of all Goddesses and pantheons throughout the planet. The Gods are also venerated. The Goddess is seen as Deity, the Divine Mother of all beings, as well as the embodiment of Truth and Beauty. From over 93 countries worldwide, over 20,000 followers of various esoteric traditions have become members. Members often blend their own traditions and beliefs with those offered by the Fellowship.

However expressed, all members acknowledge the
divine attributes of the Goddess: Love, Beauty and Truth.

In August 1993, the Fellowship of Isis was represented at the Parliament of the World's Religions Centennial Session. Olivia Robertson, co-founder of the FOI was invited to attend, along with other appointed FOI delegates. This was the first time that the religion of the Goddess was publicly acknowledged as a world faith at this parliament. Lady Olivia was one of two women and sixteen men who addressed the opening plenary from the platform. She gave the blessings of Isis to the world.

In January of 1999, the Archpriesthood Union was created from thirty-two Fellowship of Isis Archpriestesses and Archpriests. The members of this Archpriesthood are the custodians of the dedication to Isis of Ten Thousand Names and the policies and principles of the FOI. The Star of Isis AU was later added by Olivia Robertson in 2003. It is made up of eight members of the AU in order to function as an advisory board and consultancy service to all Fellowship of Isis members.

Fellowship of Isis centers - such as the Crossroads Lyceum - provide courses around certain rites of the FOI Liturgy either in person or through correspondence.

We invite you to become more familiar with the FOI Liturgy by visiting our Oracle of the Month or meditate on the FOI prayers.

If you are interested in learning even more about the Fellowship of Isis, you may also review and order FOI Publications.

The Fellowship has members throughout the world who have rediscovered their love for the Goddess. The FOI was founded to fulfill the desire of those people wishing to honor the Goddess and experience a closer communion with Her both individually and as part of a group. If you would like to join the Fellowship of Isis, you are asked to first read the Manifesto. To navigate through the entire FOI section, just follow the shining ankh.
